Family Portrait Photographer of the Year 2010!

The second award I came away with is Family Portrait Photographer of the Year 2010! It's wonderful to be given accolades for both portrait and wedding photography. I love photographing families, many people choose to have a family shoot to mark a special occasion which is a great idea, especially for presents. Weddings are such an exciting experience, its wonderful to be an integral part of such a happy event and create the memories to last beyond a lifetime.  My images will now go through to the national finals to be held later in the year.

Complete Wedding Photographer of the Year 2010!

I'm ecstatic to have won 2 awards at the Master Photographer Association Regional finals.
The first award I scooped is Complete Wedding Photographer of the Year 2010 which is the hardest of the wedding categories. Judges scrutinise 10 images taken at one wedding looking for a consistent excellence in standard and style from across the whole wedding day. This really means so much to me to take home the trophy for such a prestigious title and reinforce I am creating great photographs for my bride and grooms. The Master Photographers Association is the UK's only trade body exclusively for full-time professional photographers.

Garden Ceremony

Kerry & Steve chose the wonderful setting of the gazebo at East Lodge in Rowsley, Derbyshire for their outdoor ceremony. What beautiful weather they had for it too!  Kerry was even a great sport letting the boys watch the England match at the reception. It was a lovely relaxed day which everyone enjoyed.

An "Indian summer" wedding despite the raindrops!

I thought I would share a picture with you from Andy and Satnam's wedding at the weekend. It was great to see them tie the knot at St Chad's Catholic Cathedral in Birmingham followed by a big party in the city centre.  Satnam looked stunning in a beautiful purple dress with exquisite embroidery. Andy you scrubbed up very well too! (I can say that as they are both friends - Satnam and I were actually born days apart in the same hospital!) I couldn't decide which picture to post from our urban wedding shoot, but after much deliberation its this one!
